T60 TrackPoint and buttons not working

Hi - can anyone help?

T60 with XP

The red TrackPoint & buttons work when first booting up and entering the Windows password.

After CSS Authentication fails, the TrackPoint & buttons no longer work but the TouchPad & buttons work.

Why would this happen, please?

Is it software or hardware?

Thank you in advance,

John

Re: T60 TrackPoint and buttons not working

go into your control panel, under mouse is your trackpoint option available.

Re: T60 TrackPoint and buttons not working

Greetings to Oz!

I did not know about this.

Control Panel>Mouse>Mouse properties>UltraNav>Enable Track Point.

I have ticked "Enable TrackPoint" and it is working now.  Something must have 'unticked' it

Thank you very much.  This has been very helpful of you.

This problem started at exactly the same time as I had a CSS problem which has left me unable to access the Utimaco Safeguard encrypted R: Securedrive.  See

Herik was kind enough tp post a reply but I'm still stumped on this.
