I just did a clean install of Windows 7 Enterprise on T60 (from Windows XP SP3) and I can't seem to find the right driver for this one Unknown Device in the Computer Management.
T60 1953D6U
When I went in the Properties for this Unknown Device, in the Location, it says " on Intel(R) ICH7M/U LPC Interface Controller - 27B9.
I ran System Update v4 on this laptop and it did not find any drivers. And I know for a fact that I have downloaded and install all the available drivers for this model from the Lenovo website.
I saw this message http://communities.intel.com/message/75577;jsessio
I also tried the drivers said on this post http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Lapt
Any other suggestions?
Thank you in advance.

I fixed it.
In Computer MAnagement, right clicked on "Unknown Device" > Properties > Update driver > Search automatically using the Internet. It found the driver for IBM Thinkpad Fast Infrared Port.
I don't know why Lenovo does not provide the driver for this device.... It is really pain and a big waste of time trying to find a solution for it.

Happy Easter/Passover to all. I am having the same problem locating a driver for Windows 7 Prof. /
Enterprise for the IBM LENOVO THINKPAD FAST INFRARED PORT.
Have tried all internet sources, Lenovo's site, Intel's site, etc with no luck.
I had just done a fresh install of Windows 7 as a dual boot with Windows xp Prof. When in Control Panel for
my Windows 7 install, have been able to install drivers for all of the other hardware except this. In Device Manager for
Windows 7 in OTHER DEVICES- is listed UNKNOWN DEVICE. It states 'no driver hace been loaded for this device.'
It lists LOCATION: ON INTEL ICH7M/U LPC INTERFACE CONTROLLER -27B9.
My machine is an IBM LENOVO THINKPAD T60p 2007 93u.
Anyone who either has the correct driver or can give me the url to for same, your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks to all of you in advance for your help!

Hello,
Have you tried installing the ThinkVantage System Update software and seeing if it detects and loads the missing driver? What about using Microsoft Update
