because of NDIDA defect my motherboard was changed by a service company to one with an INTEL grafic ship instead of NVIDIA. New FRU is 41W1487 instead 41W1489. It runs fine, but I have further questions before reinstalling system.
- does my system now have a new model number (old 7664-1GG),
- how to search lenovo driver/bios updates for this board ?
- if I use recovery (from HD) option, does this run without problems ?
- will Thinkvantage recognize the new board so, that update will be the right ?
- any other things to do ?
Thank you all

Starting Thinkvantage > Rescue & Recovery> Full Recovery... breaks.... **bleep**... Recovery not possible... witout any message...
Idea ? Anything to setup in Bios for Recovery Partition ?

How is the "Lenovo system update" run? On the Lenovo website? Using ThinkVantage toolbox? Some other way?
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but I'll try to answer.
It's a local app that runs on your computer but it also connects to lenovo's servers to search for and download updates, which it then will allow you to install.
No web browsing is required nor is thinkvantage toolbox.
