I've recently installed Windows 7 x64 on my T61p (6459-CTO). I've installed the drivers and all the devices and running fine except two:
After a failing to find drivers for these, I googled the issue and found that it is quite likely related to Intel AMT. So I've searched for the Windows 7 drivers for Intel AMT for my laptop but I can't see any.
I've installed and run Lenovo System Update v4 and it hasn't picked it up although the Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox Diagnotics does alert that the drivers are missing for the 2 devices. However, it too doesn't show where to get them from.
There seem to be a lot of posts for this issue for the T400/T500 models but nothing for the T61p.
Any help would be appreciated!

You can try disabling AMT from the BIOS and subsequently check whether the missing drivers exists in the device manager. Additionally you can search intel website for amt drivers.
Hope it helps.

Try this -
1) Right click on the device in device manager
2) Pick "update drivers"
3) Pick "browse my computer" and give " C:\ " as the location (no quotes).
This has cleared up several problems like this for me.

I've done that already (several times). When I downloaded drivers for the other components, they extracted to "c:\drivers". So that worked for all of them bar the 2 devices mentioned above.
I can't find the relavant drivers on the Intel site and the Lenovo site simply doesn't even mention anything related to Intel AMT when you filter down for Drivers for Win7 for the T61p.
I've run Windows Update several times and it's picked up everything else. I've installed all the relevant ThinkVantage software. The diagnostic tool recognises that the device drivers are missing but offers no link to or solution to find them.
It's not like it's an obsolete model (is it?), I would have thought they'd put out the relevant drivers.
It's not causing any problems but I just like to know everything is installed and working correctly.

I assume it's Intel AMT as I've read somewhere (I can't recall where now) that Intet AMT present's itself as a virtual serial port to the OS.
A quick Google search revealed this.

I experienced the same issue, and here is my resolution for my t61p running windows 7 x64:
download the 2 AMT drivers from the lenovo driver site:
Local Manageability Service and Serial Over LAN (Intel AMT 2.6)
Windows Vista, XP
Management Engine Interface (Intel AMT 2.6)
Windows Vista, XP
Let the files extract to their folders (using the downloaded exe files) (C:\drivers\win\amt and \amtsol)
for the PCI Serial Port, tell the update driver wizard to look in c:\drivers\win\amtsol
for the PCI Simple Communications Controller tell it to look in c:\drivers\win\amt
this should locate the missing drivers for you.
