I have a T61 and recently one day when I turned it on, it gave me BAD SVP data error. So i found a dump of 24s08 from another T61 and reprogrammed mine, everything is OK, I mean System Unit S/N, System Board S/N, UUID, But MAC Address is all FF FF FF FF FF FF in BIOS. It can not connect to a network unless I assign The MAC address using windows. Any idea why it's like that? Although there is MAC address in BIN file but after first poweron, mac address changes to FF. Thanks.

So.... after replacing the BIOS chip because of the 0192 Error i have the same problem with the NIC-MAC like my friend above!!
In the hole internet was no satisfying solution ,only stupid guys how say "it´s not possible" and "You should buy a new MB"
I found the solution almost on my self !!
(Forget the "Thinkpad Maintenence Disk" This is only to set the Serial# or CPU serial# or the UUID!!!)
All that you need to set the MAC is the Intel EEUPDATE.EXE file.
First i try this solution, but it not work because the T61 have an Intel and not a Realtek NIC. But the link to asrock-downloaldpage helps my a lot!
Download this file:
unzip it and you will find a folder named "Intel" copy its content (EEUPDATE.EXE) to a DOS Boot stick or disk (keyword: RUFUS).
Boot in to DOS (with the Stick) and Enter i.e. : EEUPDATE /NIC=1 /MAC=001558C5D69B
you should Change the MAC address to yours . You can find it on a Sticker at the bottom of you Notebook or inside it on a sticker on the Mainboard or you try a random one.
Improbable but everything is posible: If You have more than one NIC adapter card bulid in in your Notebook you have to change also the number of the /NIC= to the right one.

I haved use a Hot Air Reworkstation and a CH341 USB Programmer, you can find both on Ebay. The Reworkstation is not so necessary but it makes the live more easier. The software for the Programmer and some tutorials how to you this tools you can find on You Tube.
Or you buy you a ready programmed BIOS chip from Ebay and resolder it.
After you have reprogram/resolder the BIOS Chip you have to use the EEUPDATE tool from the post above to set the MAC id.
