Thunderyfly insect

Hi guys,

i have a problem with my t60p which means with the lcd. there is a thunderfly insect in between the diffusing layer and the panel itself. is there a possibility to get rid of this **bleep** "pet"??? hoped that it moved away but since two days it is not moving any more and stays on the same position.

Re: Thunderyfly insect

Hello Andy,

that´s sad!

You can try to shine the insect with a lamp and see if it´s following the shine and went away.

Don´t press at your TFT, then you´ll have a blob on it and this will never go away.

But the end of the story will be, that you´ll need a new display, cause you need a very clean room to disassamble your display and it´s layers. Otherwise some dust will go beetween the different layers and will distort you.

Some experienced users have tried this, but with no success.

Kind regards

Andreas

Re: Thunderyfly insect

Hi Andy,

i would call Lenovo service and tell them about your problem
and if you are still in warranty they might help you!

It seems Lenovo is very kind in this regards, but I can´t promise!

kind regards

Andreas
