backup my factory state

hi iwould like to back up my factory setting (in case of hard drive failare) because when i bought the computer i did not reacive the disk of drivers, thinkpad softwares and the windows xp disks, so any sailare in hard drive will put me in a hot spot if you know what i mean ?

 

can anyone please help me ?

You can make recovery discs through RnR [assuming you are using factory preload]:-

Else, it can also be done through software like Acronis, Norton Ghost image etc.

If you don't already own a disk imager like Acronis or Ghost, download a copyof Hirren Boot CD since it includes fully funcionatl trial copies and make a compressed image and verify it before burning it off to two copies and preferably one a DVD to stored offline and away from housepets.
