It seems to me ThinkVantage System Update must be keeping everything it downloads.
I now have on my T60 about 7000 files (2.5GB) of files under
C:\Program Files\Lenovo\System Update\sessions.
Does that function not clean up after itself?
Can any of these files be safely deleted?
It is ridiculous to increasingly consume disk space like it does.
Thanks.

Thanks!
I see the two files and two folders (system and temp) directly in the session directory that need to be kept.

Just so others know:
I first moved everything else in the session directory to another folder to hide them from System Update
while keeping them around for awhile to restore if need be.
System Update was very sluggish before and now pops up very fast.
Apparently System Update keeps no history of its installations separate from what currently
exists in the session subdirectories. So, now it lists nothing for installation history or
deferred or hidden downloads (I had none left anyway).
I guess it must have been all the real-time scanning of those subdirectories at startup and some other menu transitions
to find the history, hidden, and deferred downloads that was slowing it down so much.
It seems to work fine to find and download new updates.
Thanks again.
