Re: total hard drive crash----how to restore on a new hard drive?

Denes, welcome to the forum,

are we to understand that you are still using the "crashed" drive and that functionality is limited?

or

have you inserted a new drive and installed an operating system on it?  -  It will be important to know which operating system you have installed and how you did this.

Do you have recovery discs for your system?

Sorry for all the questions, probably more to come Smiley Wink

Thanks

Andy

The hard drive with the Vista OS was replaced with a new hard drive. I had no restoration CD and just installed Windows 7 Optimum on the new drive. Thank You-----------------------Denes

Re: total hard drive crash----how to restore on a new hard drive?

That helps, thanks.

You are asking about tablet functions, which ThinkPad exactly are we talking about? It maybe I need to move this thread to the board for Tablet systems as it's in the T series board at the moment which aren't Tablets.

it would be helpful if you could post the Type and Model Number this will help members to help you. Please do NOT post your s/n.

That said, in control panel > add remove progams or programs and functions, (where you can add remove software), there is an option on the left side to add / remove windows features. It may be that you need to select the feature you are looking for and let it install.
