trackpoint loose

i just noticed a minute ago that my trackpoint is very very loose on my t61p it comes off with my finger when i lift it. is there any way i can fix it at home? or will it be covered by warranty?
T61P, 3gb ram, intel C2D 7500, Nvidia Quadro 570m GPU, and Windows7 RTM x64

When you say the TrackPoint is loose, are you refering to the red cap that covers it?  If so, it's probably just worn out and needs to be replaced.  You can order replacements from Lenovo.  The part number is 73P2698, and here in the US, they're $9.99.  Sometimes they're also available on eBay.

The little black (female) fitting inside the red cap no longer fits securely over the plastic(male) nub in the keyboard, so replacing the red cap will not fix the problem. Can I use a drop of glue inside the black fitting? What kind of glue, if yes? Thanks.
