upgrading 600E

OK, I will admit that I am stuck on an old machine but I have two thinkpad 600E which still have 128 of ram.  Can I upgrade; if so to what?  is it worth it or should I just buy a new one, and if so, which one.  I was trying to install dragon naturally speaking for dictation and got message "NOT ENOUGH MEMORY"  .  Thanks for any thoughts,.  Michele

Re: upgrading 600E

Welcome to the forum!

You can upgrade your 600E, but everything really depends on your needs, and amount of time, money and effort you're willing to put in it as opposed to getting a new(er) machine.

Faster HDD (5400rpm, about $40 nowadays, new), doubling the RAM (15-30) come to mind first.

What programs/applications are you mostly interested in running on your ThinkPad?

Good luck and let us know.

Cheers,

George
