x61 thinkpad resource conflict - PCI on motherboard

Hello lenovo group help,

I have a problem with my x61 thinkpad. On startup, i have the Lenovo Logo, after the thinkpad start message and i get the following error message :

ERROR

RESOURCE CONFLICT - PCI ON MOTHERBOARD

BUS 05, DEVICE: 00 FUNCTION 00

ERROR

RESOURCE CONFLICT - PCI SERIAL BUS CONTROLLER ON MOTHERBOARD

BUS 05, DEVICE 00 FUNCTION 01

ERROR

RESOURCE CONFLICT - PCI ON MOTHERBOARD

BUS 05, DEVICE: 00, FUNCTION 02

I tried to update drivers and windows 7, didn't work. I tried to change IRQ number in the BIOS, didn't work too, I think the problem is elsewhere.

I saw a similar post here : https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/X61s-My-lovely-oldest-ThinkPad/m-p/3988913

but there is not the answer.

In the peripheral manager i have 3 drivers problems :

  • Contrôleur hôte numérique sécurisé compatible SDA
  • Cardus R/RL/5C476(II)
  • OHCI 1394 Ricoh

For the 3, i have : this device can not find enough free resources for its operation (code 12) ,

this device can not find enough free resources for its operation.

Please, do you have a solution about this problem ?

Thanks,

Re: x61 thinkpad resource conflict - PCI on motherboard

Hello,

I don't have a ThinkPad X61 myself, but I'm wondering if there are any CardBus, USB or FireWire (IEEE-1394) devices plugged into the ThinkPad X61?  If so, does disconnecting them make any difference?

Regards,

Re: x61 thinkpad resource conflict - PCI on motherboard

Hello,

You may want to try resetting the BIOS to the factory default values and see if that makes a difference.

Re: x61 thinkpad resource conflict - PCI on motherboard

All set to 11 in ther BIOS is normal.  All that stuff is done dynamically.  Normally, you should never change that.  Are there any problem devices showing in Device Manager?  How much memory do you have?
