Battery getting hot while charging?

2012-03-19, 13:22 PM

Is anyone else feeling the battery get hot while the TPT is charging?  In my case, the TPT was powered off, and was around 50% when I started charging it.  About 2 hours later, it was hot enough to be felth through the Lenovo folio.   Maybe I've just never noticed before??

In my humble opinion, battery should not get so hot while charging.  You can feel the battery slighty hot while charging, but doubt it can be felth through the folio case.  Are you charging the slate using the standard power adapter and USB cable?

Yes, mine is also getting warm while charging.
But how to compare how hot yours gets in comparison to others?

I think the Lenovo folio insulates the tablet, so it can get hotter than without.

Hi, mine is quite warm at the bottom left under normal use. Is it normal?

This widget has good reviews and it also measures battery temperature;

Why no reponse from Lenovo on this? My new thinkpad yoga also gets very hot when i'm using it. This is making me worry about the life of my new laptop and the battery.
