EM7455 shows up 1 instance GOOD and 3 instances BAD in device manager

Good Day all,

I have bought a Sierra EM7455 PCI-e 2242 for a Thinkpad X1 Tablet, Gen1. The 3G/4G works well, however, in the device manager, there are 3 more such devices, with a (!).

DW5811e Snapdragon X7 LTE.

DW5811e Snapdragon X7 LTE.

DW5811e Snapdragon X7 LTE.

The driver is not installed.

I downloaded the package from Sierra, nothing.

Microsoft driver updates don't help either - driver not found.

HOWEVER, the SAME device, is installed OK, 1 instance, in networking devices!

What is your opinion?

thank you,

Spyridon

Re: EM7455 shows up 1 instance GOOD and 3 instances BAD in device manager

Hi, Thanks for reaching out. It is possible that the Driver you have installed is not correct or incomplete. I would like to clarify did you download the drivers from the Sierra website or did you get them directly from the Lenovo support website? You can use this link to find the updated drivers for your machine. https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds112204?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6. Let us know if this works out.

Re: EM7455 shows up 1 instance GOOD and 3 instances BAD in device manager

I just realised, I have a DW (Dell) part.

LTE works ok though.

I guess I cannot enable all features/drivers, I must find a Lenovo - marked EM7455 module.

is there any generic driver though?

thank you very much,
