The experience compared to a Wacom digitizer on a Fuji tablet (stylus only) is really not comparable.  The wacom is so much better it is not even close.    If that is the most important thing, you will be unhappy.  It works well enough to take notes and select.  If a Wacom is a 10, I would give the ntrig a 5 or6.  Fine writing for equations and such is going to be tricky.  I have not tried that so I am not sure but there is just too much laxity or delay in the writing to make small figures accurately.

Thanks for the reply! I tried the HTC Flyer, and I can indeed confirm that it's not accurate enough and there was definite lag... but I've been hearing that the LTP is better stylus-wise. Do you have the LTP or are you talking about n-trig in general?

I have the slate and I tried math symbols today and the combination is not quite there in my opinion.  However, there are note taking app that work like the ipad where you write on  a larger line and it is automatically condensed.  I forget which one that is.

Re: Note Taking

I feel that the included Mobile Notes is practically worthless when it comes to actual note taking.

Other Market solutions that I've tried include AntiPaper Notes HD, WritePad Stylus, Genial Writing.  Genial Writing isn't worth your time, AntiPaper still needs work in palm rejection but works well and WritePad works well for the most part, but I dislike some of the ways it handles things.  Your experience may differ.

Now, for people interested in tedious note taking including equations, subscripts, superscripts, etc. I can tell you there is a working solution.  I do use my TPT in Calculus and Chemistry currently.  Believe it or not, but the application I am currently using is Sketchbook Pro.  A no-brainer $5 purchase.  I'll explain why.

First and foremost, Sketchbook is highly more polished than these other applications and it also includes Pressure Sensitivity, many different stroke styles/colors as it is intended for artists!  You may wonder why I use it for notes, but it works the best in my opinion, and mimics a pencil the best as well (which is why I desire).

Also note that the Pro version works slightly better than the Express (free) version at least in pressure sensitivity and features.  The Pro version also allows you to import pictures as layers within a workspace.  I am currently working on importing layers that act as grids/lines like notebook paper. The one big downside to Sketchbook is the palm rejection needs help, but as this application hasn't been updated since July, I think an update should help this. My solution to the palm issue is to have a washcloth on screen or wear a light cotton glove with fingers cut off.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, it is a great app. I'm not even much of an artist but it is also fun to play with the more artistic features. I have yet to figure out how to change the canvas size though. On AutoDesk's site it says there is a higher resolution canvas size, but I cannot figure how to change it.

Gave the free version a quick test but am hopeless with it. Practice... except for simple writing. I was able to use the free version in portrait. Doesn't work in full version?

Not sure what you're wanting to know. I do not think the toolbar will go to Landscape even in full version. Although Pro does hide the toolbar. It is technically still in "portrait" mode I guess, even if you have the orientation locked. I still hold it landscape style to write notes, etc, even though it is technically in "portrait" mode. I don't feel it matters too much.

Why are you hopeless with it?

Art... I suck. LOL I guess where the toolbar sits doesn't matter to me when I make notes.
