Thanks obscure_detour!! Any chance of a full screen screenshot with chemistry and math scribblings in small size? :smileyhappy:

Anyway, it's good to hear that at least accurate note taking should be possible at least technically... just the note taking apps don't seem to be quite there yet.

The "Writepad Stylus" app seems quite promising... there's a discussion thread about it at xda-developers forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1204885&goto=newpost.

At least the update frequency is quite impressive, so maybe we'll see sketchbook pro quality note taking in the near future!

Sure here is an export of one of my homework working out derivatives.  Note Example

Also, about my example, this is my homework that I am not turning in, so it isn't the greatest neatness as I am just working the problems for my own benefit.  I'll try to upload an example of actual notes I take in class soon.

I do like WritePad Stylus, it is probably the best one as far as note taking, I just like the feel of Sketchbook and the pressure sensitivity makes it feel more like pen/pencil on paper.  I am also eager to see WritePad continue to get better :smileyhappy:

EDIT:  Link should work now. Sorry. Another link

Haha I sure did :) Glad I could help!

Quick update:  I threw together a mock notebook paper layer in Gimp that I imported as a Layer within SketchBook Pro, here are the results! Took me 5 minutes to create and another 5 minutes to figure out how to not get the eraser to erase that layer, but in the end I got it and it is perfect (for now).  I'll probably be creating a grid in the future.  I also turned up the transparancy of the notebook lines to create a more lightly colored blue lines like real paper.

Notes within Sketchbook

If anyone is interested in trying it out for themselves I also uploaded the just the notebook paper layer here.

EDIT:  Added more examples from class today

Has anyone tried Graffiti?

Is it compatible with Android 3.1? (Haven't received my TPT as yet).

If so, as a long-time Palm user, I currently use it on my HTC Desire and intend to use it on the TPT as text input with the stylus and in any application as I understand the stylus can be used in that manner. Can anyone try this out and inform?

Thanks.

graffiti works fine and brings back memories but feels a bit dated... .

Thanks for the quick feedback JMOZ.

I still think that Graffiti and the mini keyboards of the Treos were the best input interfaces. I love the larger screens of my newer devices like the Desire but think that their virtual keyboards were included simply because they was necessary. Without tactile feedback and even some poor lag on some devices, virtual keyboards are just frustratingly poor IMHO. Until someone can develop a truly efficient handwriting-to-text input for any application, then I will likely abuse Graffiti and the keyboard folio (whenever released)...
