Poor delivery service - X1 tablet delayed 4 times

I ordered X1 table June 13 with the expedited shipping. At that time, it is said that it will be shipped within 2 weeks. However, until now, I have not yet recieved the product. Now it is delayed 4 times (it is now expected to ship 9th Aug, anyway I dont believe at all). Since my laptop is broken, this delivery service is really frustrating to me. I have talked to the post sale service team several times, but nothing has been chagned. What should I do??? If I knew that the delivery takes more than two months, I ordered Surface pro 4. I already paid $1847.62 for this order!

I think the delayes are due to issues found with the tablet. I had to return mine as I found numerous issues that I reported to Lenovo technical support. I loved the device but it was definitely not ready to be released as it had way too many issues. If you look at Lenovo's sites (US, UK, Australia, etc) the X1 Tablet is either missing/Out of Stock/Currently Unavailable or Sold Out. IMO, Lenovo is working on resolving all of the issues before re-releasing it to the public.

Well. then it should be noted to consumers. I do no think that this is a good way to handle the delay. When I talk to the post-sale team, they just said that it is due to a shortage of products. Moreover, they said that If I cancel the previous order, and make a new contract, it will be shipped within a week. Why do not they just facilitate the previous order?  I have used three Lenovo laptops (Helix 1, 2, and X201t) since I had graduated from university. I am really disappointed with this dellivery service and a meaningless response from the post-sale team.

I am having a similar expierence from a company I have trusted for many years.

I ordered an X1 Tablet on June 20, 2016.  The website said it would be shipped within 10 business days.

The 1st delay pushed out the shipment to July 25, 2016.  Just before that date the ship date was revised to August 2.  As of this afternoon the ship date was extended to August 19, 2016.  So sixty calendar days to possibly ship an item that was to take 14 calendar days.  This is outragous.  The client rep told me he would look into the issue, suprise no response to any of my emails.  I was expecting a much better customer expierence from a supplier that I have purchased from for 10 years.  I think the best solution is to cancel the order and buy a Microsoft Surface.  Especially since it seems Lenovo has not worked out the issues with this model.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I talked to the post-sale team yesterday, and they told me that it will be definitely shipped this week. I will share the process. If it is not shipped again this week, I should find a way to sue for wasting my time.

I've noticed they even removed the links to the X1 Tablet page on the site, which had me a bit worried, so I called yesterday. A very polite woman told me that it was "ready for pickup" and should ship today (8/4). I asked if "ready for pickup" meant it was done being manufactured and ready to ship and she said that's what it means.

 

No shipment notice yet, but it's early in the day. I've got my fingers crossed that it ships soon and works as advertised. I've looked heavily into every other option in the 2-in-1 category and the X1 tablet is the only one that has everything I want. Progress updates from other customers welcome.

No shipment notice yet. OVP still says today (Aug 5) for expected shipment date.

I just called again to see if I could get better information. I was informed that the shipment is on hold due to problems with the SSD on the device. There is no ETA to resolve the issue.

I was told it was too late to cancel but they would let me return the device with no restocking fees and a prepaid return label. I'm looking at the Latitude 11 2-in-1 and it's not quite as powerful, plus it's got a bit of a lead time also, but Dell seems a lot more on the ball.
