TABLET 2 TOD CHANGES

2014-05-21, 19:42 PM

The time of day seems to randomly change after a few shut downs of the Table 2.  I am using the current version of Windows 8.1.

The Internet Time is set for Auto Update using the time.nist.gov.

I am sure that I am not changing the time or date.  The date seems to jump 24 hours ahead or 36 hours forward sometime.

Any fixes coming in this area of the Table 2?

The TOD problem seems to be fixed.  It might have been fixed by one of the software changes that have been installed since I noticed this problem in the first place.

I concider the problem fixed by a software update.

Thanks.

Someone else reported this issue a few months back. see:

In that case, it seems to have been a worm. You might want to check your tablet for viruses/worms/trojans.

I ran a scan using Norton, and no worms were found.  Since I ran the virus scan, there has been one TOD change.

So this suggestion didn't for me.

Thanks.

OK. I note that you are synchronising with nist. My TPT2 is set to synchronise with time.windows.com (the default time server for Windows). You might want to try that?

Re: TABLET 2 TOD CHANGES

I have set the TOD using these settings:

time.windows.com

time.nist.gov

It is currently set for time.nist.gov.

TOD has changed when both were set.  My local time is set for GMT- 05:00 Easter Time (US & Canada)

Thanks
