ThinkPad 10 (Type 20E3, 20E4) - Touch Problems

2018-07-31, 15:00 PM

ThinkPad 10 (Type 20E3, 20E4) - I have several of these devices and all of them have the same issue.  The touchscreen goes all wonky after after the latest Win 10 updates.  Rolling back to an old Win 8 driver fixes the problem to some extent - the touch works, but there is a horizontal area across the screen where no touch is registered  (when accessing the BIOS the touch works fine in that area).  Also, the area where the touch doesn't work differs between the other devices.   (An OS reload does not resolve the issue, neither does a BIOS update).

This doesn't seem to be a hardware issue and it seems to be a growing problem with users on this device.  I couldn't find any other threads - so if there is a known solution please provide the link.

I have a similar /worse problem - have been unable to get touch to work either from the get go (loading from USB restore Win 10 ver 1511) or from scratch with Windows 10 v1607 after wiping the partitions and loading all the Lenovo drivers.
