ThinkPad 1838 Help

I recently purchased a ThinkPad 1838 and am still trying to get a feel for it. While I was trying to get my permanent WiFi set up I went ahead and connected to a GUEST network using a temporary password. The password has expired and I haven't gotten my permanent one set yet so I got a new temp password. When I try and connect to the guest network it automatically finds the signal and connects without giving me a chance to update the password. Basically it is connected with a invalid password. Is there a way to force a password change? Can I delete the network and start from scratch? I have tried to "forget" and it shows right back up and I have the same issue.

Thanks for any assistance you might offer.

Delete the wifi network that has problems with the expired password, look it as a new network and reconnect to it

Re: ThinkPad 1838 Help

Long press on the connection and select modify network and you can change the password from there.

security is open.  That means the connection does not use a password.

Did you enter a password in the brower when you first opened your connection?

I would suggest you clear you browser history (especially cookies) and see if that solves it

Re: ThinkPad 1838 Help

When I first connected to the network I was given the opportunity to add the password.

I will try to delete browser data.

Did you clear the browser data through the browser settings or through the app settings clear data?

If you are using the stock browser, under settings-->privacy and security at the bottom is an option to clear passwords.  Click that

browser, settings-->privacy and security at the bottom is an option to clear passwords, cookies, forms, history. Everything but the kitchen sink.
