Thanks for the review, I'm still waiting for mine to ship. They finally charged my card, but that was three days ago and I still don't have a shipment notice or change on my order status page :-(

It may be too late for you, but Newegg is offering the TPT2 for a bit less then Lenovo. From what I can tell, their stock has been fluctuating so even if it's "Out of Stock" in a few hours or next day, they are re-Stocked.

Ihmotep,

I have not been able to determine if the digitizer is Wacom. I've looked through the "device manager" and couldn't find any info. If anyone can point me in the right direction of what to look for, I'd be more than happy to investigate further.

But I've read in other sites that they are almost confident that it's a Wacom, but no guarantees.

Yeah, that annoyed me too until someone told me you have to use the "flick" gesture (horizontally) to select multiple messages. That made it much more bearable.

Wow! thanks!

It's a Wacom digitizer (pen) and Atmel touch panel (finger).

I read in another forum that the USB port doesn't have enough power to use external drives that don't have a separate power feed. Can anyone confirm that?

That could lead to a few other different external devices not working also.

I should receive mine today, but here

http://www.lenovo.com/shop/emea/cont...ABLET2DSEN.pdf

You can read this
"The ThinkPad® Tablet 2 comes with a full-size USB port and
supports all Microsoft® Windows® drivers to connect to external
USB drives, monitors, printers, cameras, DVD burners,
mice and keyboards."

False advertising?

Lenovo should do something to remedy this. Perhaps send a free dock.

That is correct. I tried to connect a external travel HD and it did not have enough power. It will support a USB thumbdrive.

We should contact Lenovo with a collective email demanding a free dock due to the false advertising.

They also disquss the problem with low power usb here. Thats a no go for me, so i guess it just me and my w510 until something better comes along. Darn really wanted this tablet.

Anyone want to buy a dock?
