this is a peer to peer help forum, and most people here have a sample of one or two. My question is whether each of the issues appear in every thinkpad? In another word, does this happen to every thinkpad? I know the ubs is a problem, but how about others?

The only problem I have other then the usb is random os crash, it seem to happen once a week. I have not yet notice any other problem.

I had os crashes and problems with the sound disappering. I updated bios and audio driver. Problems seems to be gone.

R60 - T40 - T41 - W500 - T400 (current) - X1 (current) - TPT2 (current)

hmmm, i'll have to give that a try. Maybe it will fix my os crashes to.

The only issue that I have witnessed is the USB issue. I've tested for the other issues people are having, and I am not duplicating them.

You can find the BIOS update top of this page -> SUPPORT drivers & downloads -> DRIVERS & SOFTWARE -> select your device -> Windows 8 32bit -> BIOS

I just received my 2nd TPT2 and this one has some physical problems with the screen separating from the body.  Is this something that I can repair myself or do I have to send it back AGAIN?

Send it back...  Why bother trying a quick fix when its under warranty?  I would expect my "premium device" to be flawless...

Yeah true.  It's just it took over a week to turnaround the previous one which had a messed up screen.  I feel like I'll get a 3rd dud this time and maybe I should just get a different tablet.
