X1 Tablet 3rd Gen touchpad doesn't always acknowledge touch.

2019-02-03, 21:42 PM

As much as I want to love this device it seems half baked and has lots of little "quirks" that add up to really annoying. One I am trying to resolve is a touchpad issue. Fairly frequently, when I go to use the touchpad, it ignores the first touch. I can touch, hold, and move my finger around and the mouse won't move. The way to resolve this is to lift my finger off the touchpad and re-touch it. It typically works fine after that. I have this problem im guessing 1 out of 50 touches. All my drivers are up to date. Suggestions?

Hi Teknical,

I found exactly the same issue and asked for a replacement of keyboard. The keyboard is not yet arrived and I'm not sure if it will solve the problem.

Anyone else had the same thing?

I am also having the same problem except mine happens about every 1 in 5 times that I use the touchpad, its very frustrating. I'm trying to figure out how to create a support ticket now.

This worked like a charm! I can't believe that they did not change those drivers for such a long time!

Thanks! :)

Just bought a refurbished unit. Had this issue and didn't manage to solve it even after updating it to the latest driver. Was about to return it and boom! Your solution worked. Thanks!
