No ETA, nothing.

Personally I am so disappointed in this device, and their ability to release drivers. I made the decision to roll-back to Windows 8.0. I was having too many issues with the display/graphics, a lot of distortion which eventually made the system unusable and unstable.

I'm getting between 6% - 8% (with occasional peaks to 10%) drain per 16 hours in connected standby, and that's with a number of background tasks continuing to run. This is on a Win 8.1 Preview with 1.29 BIOS. Clearly, 85% drain indicates that something is not right.

That is what I did get on Windows 8 so I believe I can get there but...

Well, I took the other Tablet that I mentioned was not updated to 1.51 yet and updated to BIOS 1.29 and installed Windows 8.1 and in a quick test, I saw  0% in an hour and so was hopeful. But overnight I got 39% drop. I have not tried rolling the video driver back to what is on Lenovo's site. That is next.

Another Minnesotan here, CKing.  I'm on 8.1 with the Lenovo video driver (I've used the Lenovo and the Acer drivers and have found it to be six one, half-a-dozen the other).  I've experienced minimal overnight drain, maybe 6%-8%.

Is there now a way to install Windows 8.1 without problems? (sleep issues, graphic failures)

Well, at least there is hope. I am once again rolling back to the video driver from Lenovo. The WU version works (but still get battery drain) except I then get the 'won't wake up' issue.

I really like a couple of things about 8.1 so I am probably going to just put up with this for now. I don't want to roll back to 8.0 yet.

Re: windows 8.1 tablet 2 issues

I tried to install 8.1 preview on the Miix 10.

Thought I had it made until I noted that no text would show up in the menus and dialogs of the "metro" settings and searches.

Had to roll back to 8

Anyone know where I could check to see if and when the necessary drivers etc. are availible to try the 8.1 preview? Trial and error updates would take far too long.....

Warning guys. Do not install the first Intel Graphic ( It's geca18ww.exe I think ) for Windows 8.1 RTM, cuz after first restart, the device wont operate at all. It goes to some kind of glitch after logging in. I'm installing RTM for second time and I'm going to see which driver works correctly.

Ok, I can confirm that the Graphic/Video Driver in Lenovo website which is 9.14.3.1099, won't let the device work at all in 8.1 RTM. I installed the 8.1 RTM again and installed the stated version ( The only available option for download in Lenovo website ) AGAIN just to be sure and it didn't work AGAIN. waste of time but at least it's a solid result.

Miix 10's video driver won't install at all. The driver detail stays default.

The only working driver is the one that installs through Windows update. That one is the one that was causing sleep issues in 8.1 Preview. Guess what ? It works OK in RTM. The only issue I have with it is that the wake up response has milliseconds delay. It's OK but its not fast as it was with original driver.

I installed only the newest Driver from the Lenovo Website.
Audio driver, WAN GPS, WLAN , Intel IO, Camera and security engine.
Most of them are from 2013.
With the graphic driver from DELL I get an Blackscreen and nafter that Windows wont start. Don't use this Driver.

I logged in and waited a few minutes. After that Windows installed the graphic Driver automatically and everything Is working.
No problems with cover freeze or graphic glitches.
