New issue with RTM, everytime I touch the screen, the pen cursor appears beneath my finger. It really annoys me specially when I swipe. Any suggestions?

Is this in the 8.1 RTM, or the Preview, and what version of the Intel Graphics driver have you got installed?

FWIW, I occasionally see glitches with the older 1099 driver running in the 8.1 Preview. Some Apps show them, others do not, and they come and go on the Apps that are susceptible to them...

I posted elsewhere about my connected standby woes but just a quick note. I just got the 8.1 RTM bits yesterday and everything works good. But the Lenovo video driver (9.14.3.1099) does not work, I had to use the newer one off of WU.

That one seemed to not work with the Preview (not well anyway) but now seems peppy/etc.

The thumbnails of the running programs on the left are not displaying correctly. You can see it most clearly in the bottom thumbnail (Bing News, I think). It's broken up and fuzzy.

Hi there,

I also recently installed the Lenovo driver on my Windows 8.1 RTM. Might I ask if you also having problems watching i.e. YouTube videos? My display driver crashed every time I try to do this. Does not matter if it is YouTube, or a local video btw.

Any input highly appreciated!

Kind regards,

Jordy

May I ask why you installed the Lenovo video driver on 8.1 RTM? I don't have RTM installed, but others have reported that the driver from Windows Update works well on RTM and doesn't have the problems it did on 8.1 Preview.

Re: windows 8.1 tablet 2 issues

I did a clean installation of Windows 8.1 RTM and installed the Lenovo drivers except the video driver. It is working great.

Something happened to my video screen as it would start flickering after the lock screen. I di not know if was a driver issue or hardware. I needed to get a couple of files off the drive and did want to send it in to Lenovo as they would not save my files. so I did a separate install. A friend of mine had WIndows 8.1 RTM on a flash drive.

I needed to install from the flash drive.

Now my TPT2 is running great. Unfortunately I no longer have the factory image and cannot go back. I needed to get some files off my system so I installed fresh and found my files in the Windows.old folder. I savaged my situation. The key automatically uploaded from somewhere and the OS is activated. I do not know if it is embedded in the system board or linked to the serial number. I am happy though.
