1080p video lag

Whenever I try to play youtube videos in 1080p... it lags horribly. Am I doing something wrong. I tried playing those videos on high performance, but it would not work.

I have the AMD e-350, 2gb ddr3 or ram.

Re: 1080p video lag

I don't have mine shipped yet and I know this isn't what you want to hear but...

These laptops/netbooks do not have enough resolution to display 1080p. To really see 1080p you'd need 1080p resolution. These only have 768p. Just like a cellphone might be able to render 1080p, does not mean it is actually 1080p. The extra pixels do not magically form on the screen

You're not doing the super secret handshake! Smiley Tongue

The issue is actually with Youtube's player. The E-350 NEEDS GPU acceleration in order to play 1080p flash, and the Youtube player, as of yesterday (4/06/2011), doesn't initialize it correctly most of the time.

Check out the discussion in http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/x120e-Stuttering-Audio/td-p/389023/page/12

Basically, you have to switch in and out of 1080p a couple of times in full screen, or you have to go to full screen ASAP before the video loads.

It is possible though! See this video I took of my x120e playing a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTDJoC2cmSk

Re: 1080p video lag

Let me clarify what I meant to say. I just wanted my laptop to be able to play 1080p videos with no lag even though my resolution will not take me to 1080p. Does that make it clear?
