Hopefully Lenovo recognizes some of the issues: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-X-Series-Laptops/Lenovo-X1-Yoga-3rd-Generation-not-impressed/t...
Did they ever address the Ghost touch issue? If not, I will probably not even think about touching the 4th gen, says a lot about them as a company.

Well the feedback has been "it's a hardware issue, have it fixed", but the problem is priving it, plus the nonzero chance that your fixed or replacement unit has some new problem. It must only happen on a relatively small subset of machines, just seems like some of us hit the jackpot. But yes, I hope the X1Y4 is way better in terms of quality control.

Give the stated June release we’re now only a few weeks out from this machine becoming available, but it’s been pretty quiet. I wasn’t able to locate the usual placeholder page with the specs and a “Coming soon”. Has anyone heard anything new on this system recently?

Is the X1 Yoga 4th Gen Intel Ice Lake based? If so I wonder how quick it will get out the door. It was only announced by Intel a week or so ago. May have to skip this one since I can't wait for my summer orders.

I wrote more about this in a neighboring thread about the Carbon. I think we're seeing just Whiskey lake updates, basically last year's CPU's with not-even-modest updates. Intel is doing badly.
In any case, I'm hoping to buy both 7th gen Carbons and 4th gen Yogas as soon as they become available. And my estimate is that we're talking late July.

Last week I asked a Lenovo support rep about the X1 Yoga 4th gen, and they mentioned a July release being more likely (as opposed to June). Combine with quiet online presence and no placeholder page yet, that seems like the case. I'm holding on because I want the aluminum build, which in theory wouldn't be a fingerprint magnet if it's anything like the Mac's. The laptop will be highly visible by clients and prospects... can't have cheesy fingerprints all over. I'm coming from a Macbook Air, and need the x1 yoga's 2-in=1 & touch capability and reliable keyboard.

For those who missed Bananaman's annoucements elsewhere, the X1C7 and the X1Y4 are on the same release schedule, and they share the user guide and hardware maintenance manual. Both now available online:
