Why isn't this forum threaded when you reply??? This is total chaos.

True, I guess for any substantial issue rather than casual discussion I'd recommend making a separate thread.

10th Generation Intel Core i5 / i7 Processor (Not available in EMEA)

This means that 10th generation processors are available only in the United States?

Re: 2019 X1 Yoga 4th Gen discussion thread

Hello Everyone

I just got my X1 laptop last week and just noticed two minor issues and want to confirm if it is only in my laptop.

1) The trackpad center button is slightly wobbles the rest of the buttons and the key in the keyboard look stiff except this one.

2) when the laptop is closed, the top and the bottom half is not alligned slightly (less than 1mm). You cannot see it unless if you really look at it but when you rub your fingers slightly accross top to bottom you can feel.

Is it only my laptop or is this common with everyone else?

Thanks

Hallo rp5335,

1) feels a little bit more loose but doesn't wobble here.

2) mine too, no way to 'bend' it back, hinges are very stiff.

On my new X1Y4:

1) no center button wobble individually or on the rest of the buttons

2) the top (screen) does seem to overlap the bottom when the laptop is closed

Re: 2019 X1 Yoga 4th Gen discussion thread

I've made an individual post, but maybe I get some replies here.  Just purchased a Yoga X1 4th Gen.  After I updated the BIOS, I can at least wake the thing when opened as a tablet.  But, there is no way to login/bring the virtual keyboard up.  Surely they didn't overlook this!  Sure, I can fold it back to a laptop and login, but what a pain in the arse!

One of my users but their thumb through the screen and cracked it near the camera. No idea how. Sent it in for repair and there are no replacements available and no ETA. Not good.

I use the Fingerprint-Reader in tabletmode or try to swipe up or down on the screen.

Re: 2019 X1 Yoga 4th Gen discussion thread

I have tried the swiping up or down.  I don't the fingerprint reader will work, we have it locked down anyway, because when you get the lid past the 180 degree mark, the entire keyboard and trackpad, etc is disabled.  So, still trying to figure out how to login when in tablet mode and tablet physical configuration.

Re: 2019 X1 Yoga 4th Gen discussion thread

Have you actually tried the fingerprint reader while it's in tablet mode? I know longer have my X1 Yoga 4th gen because it had a faulty screen, but I am 99.9% certain that while I did, I could use the fingerprint scanner while in tablet mode to unlock the device. I also had no problem swiping up and then typing my pin with the touch screen if I chose to unlock it that way.
