I want to swap my US/ANSI keyboard with one with the European/ISO physical layout (I'm perfectly used with the US keymapping but I'm not used with the wide enter key, I miss it every time ).
Mainly, I prefer the feel of the NMB and would like to swap out my Chicony model in favor of one.
An Italian sellers has two UK keyboard: PN:42T370/FRU:42T3741 at a good price, but I need to know which supplier these particular FRUs translate to.
On the X200, with few exceptions, the 42T37xx FRUs seem to be sourced from Chicony, while the 42T36XX seem to be sourced from NMB. While functionally equivalent, some users note minor differences in the "feel" of the keys due to slightly different plunger / scissor orientation and perhaps some difference in how they sound.
One way to tell NMB and Chicony apart is to pop off a key cap, and see whether the membrane bubble dome is blue (nmb) or white (chicony).
