After upgrading to Windows 8.1, the Lenovo Settings app was missing a few features. I installed the latest Settings Dependency package, which returned the Power options to the App.
However, "charge to 50% to extend battery life" is still not available. Any word on this?

Hi, all! I am new to this forum and LENOVO products!!!
As I updated the new dependency setting programs, I found that the battery health mode tag was gone. The updated file readme send it will be removed unless it is in the same directory. Does anyone know how to resume it? Or are there any other way to change the charging mode?

I had the same problem with my T430u when I ugrade it to Windows 8.1 and the new version of Lenovo Settings Dependency Package. I fix the problem by reinstalling the previous version of Lenovo Settings and now I have the option available again. It works for on mine!

Would anyone happen to have a link to a version of the software that has that feature? The thinkpad's power management was one of the major reasons I upgraded my x200 to an x240 and I'm kind of insanely pissed that it was removed.

You can still configure Battery Health Mode if you think you really need it. We just removed the setting from the GUI because too many people don't understand it and got confused when their battery won't charge past 50% after they enabled it.
Anyway, to continue to use this setting it has to be enabled from Group Policy Editor.
2. get the deployment guide for Lenovo Settings
3. read the PDF section (inside the zip) about how to configure and customize Lenovo Settings
