Anti Glare screen scratches

2021-05-15, 18:14 PM

Hi there, I've been looking to buy a thinkpad x13 and saw there was an option for an antiglare touchscreen, I was wondering how much these screens may scratch over time with normal use compared glossy glass screens, and if I should be concerned about using screens with an antiglare coating if I am going to use it with the touchscreen, because I often use the touchscreen on laptops for work and would rather not have a scratched up screen. Thanks.

Hello pj1000,

Welcome to Lenovo Community

Anti glare is a reflective property, and scratch resistance is a wear or surface property. The reason you wont see minor scratch in anti glare is because the light does not reflect fully, but it does not mean its scratch free. If you are a very rough user would still suggest a scratch guard unless it is specifically mentioned scratch resistant
