Automatic switch between (LAN/WAN-WIFI)

2011-11-14, 20:18 PM

Hi,

Does he have someone who knows how I can set an automatic switch between LAN and WIFI? My concern is to automate the switching between both when i plug the ethernet cable or unplug it. For some Laptop model we can set a bios option which do that "Lan/Wan Switching" but I cannot find it on Lenovo X1 model.

Thanks for your time

Pat

Are you trying to get it to switch between LAN and Wifi seamlessly?

I thought Access Connection does that? Don't X1 has this too?

On my understanding "Access Connection" let you setup network profil so you can select the one of your choice related of your location. In my case I'm just looking for an option which can switch automaticaly on the LAN when the ethernet cable is plug and disconnect the WIFI without any manuel selection....

First of all every Access Connections Profile needs the marked setting "Disable connection when changing the location"

If you use the "Advanced" view in AC you also can set options on the "Tools" - Tab like preferences at changibg the location.
