New X250 notebook shipped with BIOS version 1.13, and I'd like to update it to 1.17, becouse it has Windows 10 support, and I'm having power management issues with that OS. (cannot wake up from sleep, system freeze when closing lid, even with sleep turned off in that case.)
I can successfully downgrade my BIOS to 1.12, 1.11, but I cannot upgrade it to 1.16 or 1.17 (cannot download 1.13, it's revoked).
The update starts in Windows, restarts, but then an error message stops the update:
Finished PUP flashing, Error Code: Unknown error code (0xC),ADDITIONAL_DATA:0x7
Error reported from PFAT: Unknown Error
Status of TdkBiosRomWrite: 1
ERROR 102 : Failed to perform flash
After rebooting, I can comfirm that the update failed. It's strange, as I mentioned, 1.12, 1.11 can be flashed without problems.
BIOS rollback protection is off, secure boot is off, BIOS user flash is enabled.
I've run out of options, any advice?

Good day and welcome to the community.
Sorry you're having difficulty.
If you have access to a USB CD/DVD drive, you could try using the bootable disk method:
but you might want to speak with Support (info below) about this first. A failed BIOS upgrade can be very difficult to recover from.

I am getting exactly the same error. Tried also the Bios update launched through Lenovo System Update utility. No use. My BIOS came already at version 1.12.
Is there any possybility of the update to be hardware-locked?
There is almost no info on this out there, I guess the product is still too recent.
