Backlight type - for calibrating my High density FlexView Display 3840x2160 on my X1 extreme gen. 1

2019-09-27, 7:39 AM

Hi all,

I am struggling to find out what kind of backlight the 4K UHD HDR-touchscreen (3840 x 2160) on my X1 extreme gen. 1 has. I want to calibrate it and the i1Profiler software gives me four options to choose from:

- CCFL (Cold-Cathode Fluorescent)

- Wide-Gamut CCFL

- White LED

- RGB LED

I there someone who knows? Many thanks in forward!

Hi FEF! Welcome to our forums community. For us to know the specific backlight type of the LCD panel, we need to run HWInfo64, under monitor, you need to get the monitor name and search it under panel look, Ex: If you're monitor is BOE NV156QUM-N51, you will get: http://www.panelook.com/NV156QUM-N51_BOE_15.6_LCM_overview_30193.html and the back light type is White LED (see attached image).

CCFL backlights have not been used on anything for nearly 10 years
