Battery manager utility

Where do I find the Lenovo battery manager that can tell you how much of its original charge the battery is able to hold?

I've downloaded and installed all the likely suspects from Lenovo support, but I don't see it.

I have a Thinkpad X201. I installed a new hard drive and retail Windows 8.1.

Thanks,

Greg

Re: Battery manager utility

Good day.

I believe you're referring to ThinkVantage Power Manager. While some members report making it work, after some fashion, in Win8x, it is officially not supported beyond Win7. As I understand it, there may be conflicts with the Win8x power management components.

Regards.

Re: Battery manager utility

What if I create a Hyper-V virtual machine on Windows 8.1 and install Windows 7 in it? Would that work, or is the conflict too low-level for that to be a workaround?
