I have X201 with battery 42T4834 (10/2010). Lenovo automated system reports that my battery is not affected but I got here because of articles on various popular sites like http://www.zdnet.com/lenovo-begins-global-recall-for-fire-hazard-thinkpad-batteries-7000027836/ or http://www.tomshardware.com/news/lenovo-battery-recall-models,26412.html reporting 42T4834 as affected. Is my battery really safe?

Hi moneytoo, welcome to the forums,
the part number is used to identify the batteries which need to be and should be checked using one of the methods described in the bulletin. It does not mean that all batteries with the listed part numbers will require recalling / replacing. Please also see the following post which has some more information about the part numbers;

The recall was to address a specific issue. Generally, batteries can fail for a variety of reasons and would be covered within their normal warranty / system warranty.
Your case sounds a bit odd, and probably worth having a look at on its own merit.
Please send me a PM with your contact details, name, shipping address, best phone to reach you and the type and serial on the bottom of your system.

I am start using Thinkpad from 2005 with T43 . Still i am big fan of thinkpad. Now i am using x201. I bought this from US. Around 1st May i found my battery drained super faster than before, within three days my battery is totally dead. Now i am used this only with the power adapter.
I was happy that maybe i got the battery recall service. But they searched into the database and said to me that i am not illigiable for the recall service.
Its totally expected for me that battery dead within 3 days noticed. Its hard to use my lenovo in these days.

Does Lenovo still taking care their battery replacement program?
I have an order that I submitted about a week ago, and didn't hear anything back from Lenovo. I emailed them twice to firstname.lastname@example.org, but I got not response either.
