Betreff: 100% CPU load with 16GB RAM + eGPU

2013-08-20, 8:38 AM

The exact same issue happens also still at my Thinkpad X230 with a PE4H with a Geforce GTX560, where with 1x 8GB RAM so-dimm it is working fine, but with 2x 8GB RAM so-dimm are starting these here described problems as, slow-down, extremly long boot time, etc.

My X230 BIOS/UEFI version is 2.55

Hi bero1985,

Just wanted to check with you. If your machine is in factory default mode with out the PE4h Adapter connected to the machine, and you maxed the Ram to 16GB, are you able to run machine as per normal or do you still see the 100% CPu usage?

Do let me know

Regards

Lenovo is playing really dirty, how nice. Two previous (or more) comments were removed.

Why are you doing this, NINE? If you need more info - just ask in the thread.

>> If your machine is in factory default mode with out the PE4h Adapter connected to the machine, and you maxed the Ram to 16GB, are you able to run machine as per normal or do you still see the 100% CPu usage?

Obviously it runs normal without PE4h. What else are people complaining about? This topic is about compatibility issue only when 16GB istalled and GPU with at least 512MB. Any other configuration doesn't trigger 100% CPU load. Read my first post, well, used to be first.

If you, NINE, prefer to continue deleing posts - I suggest to ban me and every other user who ever complained about the problem. No people complaining - no problem, easy as that. But if you do so, I will think before I ever want to own Lenovo product in the future.

x230 BIOS 2.02, Win8 Pro x64, i5-3320M, 16GB, Intel HD Graphics 4000.

Firstly, for clarity Nine didn't remove any posts a moderator did.

Secondly, the posts weren't on topic and were just complaining about the thread being restructured which unfortunately broke subscriptions which there is nothing we can unfortunately do to prevent at the moment.

Thirdly, Nine explained what had been done in an edit to the first post in this thread after restructuring it, before the complaints were posted rendering the complaints totally superfluous and unnecessary.
