Bug in Realtek drivers of the thinkpad X1 extreme ?

2019-01-18, 22:23 PM

Hi,

I tried to set my speakers as audio input in a recording software but as stereo mixer seems dead on this drivers version, I tried to make the recording device listen to the speakers but it seems to bug.

I proceeded as showed below, using the microphone array to listen to the speakers but even after a reboot the mic is not listening tou windows audio out.

Is there any  workaround on this matter ?

Tnahks in advance

that setting just makes the speaker play whatever the mic hears not the otherway around. You can turn the speakers up for the mic to pick up the sound, but that setting does't do that.

Hi, thanks,

But as there is only one audio port, you can't even plug an audio cable on the audio out to the audio in to record the speakers. Is there absolutely no way to fake the good old windows stereo mix on this computer ?

why would you need to record the speaker externally anyways? just install an app that grabs all the sound the speaker would play.

also i found another way to reenable the old stereo mix. go to the same page you were at and right click, then click "show disabled device" and enable stereo mix.

Yep thanks, this or bandicam can be used to register audio allright, but what I needed is nothing more than the microphone be able te register the windows out sound (as did the stereo mixer), I needed it to prepare visuals on softwares such as Smode or Resolume etc. and thoses can only register sound what windows label as a "recording device"...well I think i'm stuck here :/
