CRITICAL - X1 Yoga 1st Gen (Type 20FQ, 20FR) BIOS IS UPDATED TO X1 CARBON

2020-02-11, 19:51 PM

I just bought X1 Yoga and I check accidentally. I mistakenly selected X1 Carbon for Drivers update and now BIOS is changed to X1 Carbon and My Touch screen stopped working. Is there any way I can fix that? I have attached BIOS Log.

Per the readme.txt found here the BIOS update you installed is the same for the ThinkPad X1 Yoga (Machine types: 20FQ, 20FR)   ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Machine types: 20FB, 20FC) models, so that is not a problem.

You might try updating the  Synaptics ThinkPad UltraNav Driver to version 19.3.4.224, or if already installed, uninstalling and reinstalling the driver.

Cheers,

Sorry didn't help. Actually my System information is also saying that is Thinkpad X1 Carbon. However it is not. I believe that is the only reason of Touch screen not working.
