I've had my x1 yoga for 3 days now and have had countless problems, so I've decided to test and see if it's Windows by doing a clean install. However, wouldn't I need a product key for that? I thought that preinstalled versions of Windows were only registered with the manufacturer (lenovo) not Microsoft so I couldn't just use the media creation tool and it would recognize the computer has used Windows 10 before. Or is there another way to do a clean install without having all of the preinstalled lenovo stuff (In case this is what's causing the issues).

If it was delivered with windows 10 from lenovo, there is a key in the bios. If you use the media creation tool, it will activate automatically without entering a key as long as you install the same version. std->std or pro->pro
