Can a lenovo carbon x1 charge another laptop?

2021-02-22, 15:42 PM

Both have PD usb-c ports. In charge one with a 65 watt charger, can I use the 2nd port to connect to another Thinkpad's PD usb-c port to charge it?

Hello KlasEkim,

Welcome to Lenovo Community

Usually it is advised to charge your machine with the same recommended chargers that came with it.

Product specification do show " The two USB-C connectors also work as power connectors. The ac power adapter shipped with your computer is a USB-C power adapter. Use the shipped power adapter and power cord to connect the computer to ac power through either of the two USB-C connectors."

It can charge your peripheral devices but not sure is the Power delivery can sufficiently provide enough demand for bigger devices like another laptop.

Hope this helps
