Carbon X1 6th Gen does not boot after firmware update

2020-11-25, 8:34 AM

Yesterday, I installed a firmware update without thinking. I was using the laptop afterwards without issues.

This morning, when I booted, I got the attached screen. I can still access the startup menu, this is the screen I get when I do not enter it.

The laptop is running a Ubuntu 20 LTS and Windows 10 dual boot, the update was done from Ubuntu.

To my surprise, google did not turn up any useful results when searching for the error message. Any help (both recommendations for diagnostic steps or solutions) are highly appreciated, thanks for your help!

Edit: To clarify, by startup menu I mean startup interrupt menu, where I can choose between entering the bios etc.
