Charging issue in Thinkpad X230

Dear community members,

I bought an original lenovo 9-cell lenovo battery for my X230 thinkpad, after 1.5 month it s performance decreases gradually. In beginning, I was getting 6-7 hours of battery back-up and now, it hardly gave me 1h15m backup. I tried to charge my laptop with 65W as well as 90W power supply, but results remain the same.  I checked with power supply maner tools and i am a bit suspicious about these two properties

/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/energy_full_design             =  93240 [mWh]
/sys/class/power_supply/BAT0/energy_full                         =  12540 [mWh]

Is there any possibility that i can change energy_full to energy_full_design, so my thinkpad let me charge my battery fully.

or if there is any other way that i can fully charge my battery.

Re: Charging issue in Thinkpad X230

Hi krishnakantsing, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!

Original Lenovo batteries have a one year warranty. I suggest getting it replaced, rather than trying to hack it.

I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!
