Color settings option not found after Lenovo Vantage updated

2019-10-08, 3:24 AM

My latop is the X1 Carbon 2018 with HDR wide color gamut screen.

After Lenovo Vantage update, the new version of Vantage is missing some features, including the Color settings.

In the latest version Lenovo Vantage , the color settings were canceled. Since my color settings have been modified  accidentally, I want to adjust it back through Lenovo Vantage and find that there are no related options. Is there any solution?

PS: I have tried to download the old version of Lenovo Vantage, but I found that the old version of the settings can not find the color settings also after Lenovo Vantage update.

Hi,

Could you try download the lenovo display optimizer from below link to change display color?

https://support.lenovo.com/us/zh/downloads/ds541432

It is shown in (Vantage) system update.

Hi,

I have already installed this lenovo display optimizer, but the display color settings in this software are too few. I just want to set the display mode to DCI-P3 color gamut, is there any other solution?

If you right click the desktop, did you see the settings?

Yes, I saw it, but the DCI-P3 mode is not in the options.

I never saw DCI-P3 as an option - are you sure there ever was one?

USB-C: Just cos it fits don't mean it works.
I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

Of course. It is hidden in the custom settings of color settings。

hi,fangyuhui

You can try like this:

Uninstall new version, install 2.7 Vantage

Next step copy ChromaTune plugin manually.  Copy \programdata\lenovo\imcontroller\temp\pendingpackages and pasting it in \programdata\lenovo\imcontroller\plugins , reboot the system twice.

Then check whether the color settings is visible in 2.7 Vantage.

Hi,fangyuhui

After install the ChromaTune plugin, you can use following alternative methods to select color settings.

1.

  1. Go to desktop
  2. Right click
  3. On the right click menu, click “Select Color Settings”

2. Start Menu->Lenovo Display Optimizer and Vantage -> Display -> Color settings
