Crashing of instalation of Intel PROSet/Wireless

2008-10-13, 9:55 AM

I have formated the hard drive of my new X61 and installed Windows Vista Buisness 64 bit. I then downloaded ThinkVantage System Update as someone on this forums recomended in order to get all the necessary drivers. Most of the process was smooth with two exceptions.

The package "Intel Wireless LAN ( 11abgn,abg,bg) for Vista" when it's trying to install it opens a second window that has it's correct title, 8 completely blank buttons to press and nothing else ( I tried pressing each of them with no reponse) it just hungs there, it won't close, I had to kill it. Any ideas?

My second problem, this must be a small setting somewere. Is that even thought I configured the fingerprint reader and it seems to be working fine in firefox for example, it's not working to sign into the computer or to bring the computer out of the locked state. Can anyone let me know were that option is?

Thank you.
