Display Dimmed with Dark Background when Adaptive Brightness turned off

2018-05-20, 16:52 PM

I have a X1 Yoga (2nd Gen). I have all adaptive brightness settings turned off, but when I open an app with a dark background, the screen dims. I want to say this just started happening recently, but I can't say for sure.

I found a similar post from 2016, but given the age, I thought I would start a new post.

I found the solution to this. It was the intel graphics software. There is a "Power Saving Technology" setting that can be disabled. Here's a post with more details:

There are just too many display brightness settings now between Lenovo, Windows 10, and Intel.

This helped me too

A BIOS update fixed my problem.
