Docking station compatibility

I used to have an X230, and I still have the docking station for it (I forget exactly which, but it allowed dual monitors, which IIRC the base model didn't).

I'm now looking to replace this with either an X250 or a T450. Will either or both of these fit on the old docking station?

Thanks for any advice.

Re: Docking station compatibility

Hi

ThinkPad Basic USB 3.0 Dock (FRU 4X10A066xx, depending on the country AC power adapter) is compatible.

Probably, ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock (FRU 0A339xx) is compatible too, but I don't see it in the x250 compatibility list, at the same time it compatible with T450. At least, ThinkPad USB 3.0 Dock (U.S., Canada AC Power Adapter), FRU 0A33970 is compatible with x250 and T450.

Re: Docking station compatibility

Thanks. Do you have a link to this compatibility list? I'll look up the model number of the dock I have at present, and check the options. (I've now ruled out T450, but am considering T450s...)

Re: Docking station compatibility

Ach, damnit, my old one was a mini series 3, and is thus not compatible. Will have to buy a new docking station as well as all new power adapters Smiley Sad

Thanks for the link.

Re: Docking station compatibility

Use the "Docking Station Finder" page at Lenovo's: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/docksSearch I've found the link to that page when browsing different docking stations on their website -- it is there for every docking station product page.
