USB Driver is too outdated, how to update this?

2020-03-27, 3:22 AM

When turning on the Memory integrity in windows Defender (Device Security -> Core Isolation -> Memory integrity) . It has the incompatible driver:

ftdibus.sys

FTDI

Driver date : 8/26/2014

Driver version : 2.12.0.0

Published name : oem27.inf

What is this driver and how to update it?

My device is X1E gen2.

Hello,

That looks like the driver for a USB-to-serial adapter from FTDI.  Had you installed a USB to serial adapter to connect to a serial port-equipped device at some point?
