Driver issues with x220 - Windows 10

2016-02-18, 8:52 AM

Hello!
I reinstalled my Windows 10, and now the op.s. can't  recognize that my notebook has a bluetooth modem. I had checked the BIOS before my question, and the bluetooth is enabled. I tried to install some drivers, but nothing helps.

The ThinkVantage button and the microfone mute doesn't work, too. What can I do?

I know, that x220 has not support by Win10, but I used this op.s. previously without problems.

I updated my X220 to Windows 10 as well. I have a yellow triangle on Seriell PCI-port. I can see the Bluetooth button in settings but I can't enable the Bluetooth button. I can't see it on the list Fn+5. My mute microphone button works.

I read that you should download the Hotkey drivers and update the BIOS to get Bluetooth to work. But I have tried to update the BIOS but I don't under the instructions: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/mobiles/n1cts02w.txt

I tried step 10 but I got error.

Edit:

After I install Intel Chipset (an older version) the triangle of Seriell PCI-port disappeared.

To get Micophone button to work uninstall and install Hotkey 4.3.10.11

BIOS: I tried to run srsetupWindows64 it from Windows, a programme started but it ended at the same second.

Second edit:

Bluetooth finally works now. I haven't find the Bluetooth setting in the BIOS and now I really click on every menu and then I found it. It was disabled so BIOS v.1.40 works fine with windows 10. Stupid  me.

I had found the solution before, but thanks! :)
Installing the hotkey driver solved the problem. :) (but now there is an annoying phenomenon: when my system wakes up from sleep, this hotkey program shows the brightness status everytime, and there is 2 different volume scale if I push the volume up or down button. One from Win10 and the other one from the hotkey app...

Good! :)

I had two volume buttons as well that showed on the screen but one disappared after I uninstall somehing. I think it was the Lenovo Battery Gauge (new Battery icon) from Lenovo from System update for windows 10.

Or maybe it was something with Conexant SmartAudio. Sorry I have been up all night trying to solved my problems. I did at lot during this time.

Oh I noticed that the screen show the brightness status everytime after sleep mode as well. My solution is to press mute microphone button twice then the brightness symbol disappear.
