Dual monitor through thunderbolt

2020-03-22, 2:17 AM

Hello - I am trying to connect two external monitors to thinkpad X390 through belkin thunderbolt mini docking station, but it detects only one monitor.

When I  use the same device to connect macbook pro, it works fine and both monitors show up.

I updated thunderbolt firmware as well. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks!

Hi AU85, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!

One possibility is that you are plugged in to the wrong USB-C port - only the frontmost one is Thunderbird 3 compatible.

USB-C: Just cos it fits don't mean it works.
I don't work for Lenovo. I'm a crazy volunteer!

Thanks for your reply!

Yes there are two two usb-c like ports, one of them is thunderbolt and other mainly for charging.

I tried both but didn't work.
